Mara designed these beautiful hats and I knitted them up using yarn from my stash. Mara's inspiration for these bird hats were her love for the outdoors. Mara has always liked flamingos. She even started collecting flamingo lawn ornaments, just because they made her giggle inside at the thought! I found a soft purple super wash wool and a sparkling hand dyed pink yarn from Muse2320 to honor Mara's design.

Mara created the hummingbird hat in honor of our grandma, who would spend hours at her cabin window watching these mysterious little birds at her hummingbird feeder. I found a soft vibrant pink and complimentary multicolored acrylic yarns to create her humming bird design.

Mara enjoyed watching the gracefulness of swans. She loved the outdoors and everything nature!!! I found soft pink and cream acrylic yarns from Darn Knit Anyway to create Mara's Swans In Love hat.

Amanda created the Eagle hat because their majestic presence makes me think of my beautiful sister. It was like she was challenging me to take over the designing where she left off. I made this hat from yarns that I purchased on my MN Yarn Shop Hop 2023.
